Why does my Finalisation Even lodgement details show zeros?

Before you create and lodge a finalisation event, you'll need to make sure that there were pay runs created and pay event lodged to the ATO for the financial year. Then let's check on your Single Touch Payroll report and ensure that there's no finalisation created like update event wherein Is Final option is ticked. 

Here's how to check:

1. Go to Employees tab.
2. On Reports, select Single Touch Payroll.
3. Select the relevant financial year to review the events. You can click into these to review and see if the employee in question has previously been marked as Is Final (this will display on the far right of the page). Note that if a Finalisation Event has been created the employee will have automatically been marked as Is Final (whether it has been lodged yet or not).

If the employee has been marked as Is Final in a lodged event but you need to report some changes, you can instead lodge an Amended Finalisation event for this employee.
