Why is it when I’m trying to reconcile my payments that invoice payments are coming up as uncategorised income?

I can share some information about payments posted as uncategorised income, @linda-leach.

 

This uncategorised income account in QuickBooks Online is for entries that are not set to any accounts. You can run a Profit and Loss report to locate all these transactions and move them to the right income and expense accounts. 

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Go to Business overview and click on Reports.
  2. Look for the Profit and Loss report.
  3. Run the report and then scroll down to Uncategorised Income.
  4. Click the Total to see all the transactions.
  5. You can click on the Amount to open and choose the right income account in the Account Details section.
