Question

Why is my smartphone app not showing basic information? I've logged out and back in but still can't see invoices, customer information etc. On my desktop it's fine.

This isn't the kind of experience we want you to have when using the QuickBooks Online mobile app. I've got some troubleshooting steps to help you fix this issue and get back to business accordingly.

As an initial step, we can clear the app's data to optimize its performance. Stored caches might be the reason why you're experiencing unusual behavior while viewing your transactions. This can be done on the app, depending on your device.

For iOS:

  1. Go to the Menu  and tap Help & Feedback.
  2. Click Refresh Data.
  3. A message appears "Caution. If there was a problem getting your latest QuickBooks Online data, you could refresh it now. It may take a few minutes."
  4. Hit Refresh to confirm.

For Android:

  1. Go to the Menu ☰ and tap More Options ⋮.
  2. Click Settings, then Refresh Data.
  3. Select YES to confirm.

If the issue persists after trying out those steps, we can try uninstalling and reinstalling the app. Doing so doesn't delete any of your app's transactions. Thus, it lets you start with a clean slate. Here's an article you can review for guidance: How to download the QuickBooks Online mobile app.

Meanwhile, are you getting any error messages when trying to view invoices or other transactions? This way, we can check with our engineers if any reported issues are similar to yours.
