Admin left & 2FA code goes to their phone. I have the correct email & password but can’t log in. How can I recover access?

Our QuickBooks Online admin left the company and is unresponsive. I have the correct admin email and password, but I’m stuck at login because the 2FA code is sent to their phone, which I can’t access. How can I recover access as the business owner?

To regain access as the business owner, you'll need to become the new primary admin, @lindanyakio. Let me guide you through this process.

 

Since the primary admin in no longer in the company and being unresponsive, you can request to be a primary admin by sending a request to our account protection team.

 

You can do this by following the process below:

 

  1. Gather necessary documents:
    • Your photo ID (driver's license, passport, or government-issued ID)
    • Business ownership proof (varies by business type)
  2. Determine your business type.
  3. Complete and submit the request form.
