Blocked from sign in as I'm not receiving the SMS verification. Support channels seem to be barred behind the sign in. Email verification codes work, but require SMS code

How can I get support if I cannot sign in?
Why does email code verification then take me to SMS verification? Service worked for 3 days (new purchase Friday 27th Sept). Trying to reset also says the ID verification is not clear, which makes no sense as it seems to be automated and not human read considering it sent a failed due to unclear image, in an email, a minute later.

Hello there, d-ward. Let's resolve the issue when you can't receive the verification code to the correct phone number of your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account.

 

A saved cache and cookies in your browser can sometimes be the cause of not being able to receive the SMS verification code. That said, let's use an incognito window to access your QBO account to determine whether the problem is with your browser. Here are the shortcut keys:

 

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl Shift 
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl Shift P
  • Safari: press Command Shift N

 

Once you're in incognito mode, try to log into your QBO account again. If you can log in using a private window, go back to your regular browser and clear its cache. Clearing the cache or cookies is the best way to get a clean slate for your browser. Otherwise, using other supported browsers can be a good alternative too.
