When this message appears, we need to add a sales tax rate. Since QuickBooks does the sales calculations on your invoices and receipts, it would be better to set this up accurately. 

I recognize you've already turned the sales features on; I am now showing you the steps to add a sales rate. 

Please follow these:

1. Go to Taxes and select the Set up tax button.

2. Enter the Tax name, Description, and Tax agency name.

3. Enter your Business ID no (optional).

4. Click your Start of the current tax period.

5. Choose your tax filing frequency.

6. Press your Reporting Method 

7. Enter the Sales rate, then select This tax is applicable on purchases, if applicable.

8. Select Next, then select OK.
