Thank you for your interest in our QuickBooks products, @erisone. I'm pleased to answer your query about accessing QuickBooks running Windows 7/64 and using Google Chrome and Firefox browsers.

If you're referring to QuickBooks Online, the answer is Yes. The program supports Windows 7 and is available for browsers like Google Chrome and Firefox. It includes Microsoft Edge and Safari. See this guide to learn more about the minimum and recommended operating systems: System requirements for QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Online Accountant.

However, if you're inquiring about the system requirements for QuickBooks Desktop, it no longer supports Windows 7. This is because Microsoft stops providing security updates for PCs running this operating system. Thus, it's prone to risk.

Since protecting our customer's data is our priority, we recommend upgrading to Windows 10. To answer the Frequently Asked Questions, refer to this article: QuickBooks Desktop no longer supports Windows 7. This is from the US version but also applies to QBO International.

You can always reply here for clarification about accessing QuickBooks. Let me know and I'll get back to you.

Hi Jamaica,

We apologize for the lack of clarity.

The inquiry is related to a desktop version on a local server running Windows Server 2019-Standrad, and the devices connected to the server are running Windows 7/64. We want to verify how the client device connects to the server/database, whether through the browser or not? because we are working within a plan to apply a domain control policy on the devices connected to the server and thereby minimize risks.

Thank you.

In addition, we are planning to subscribe to the QB desktop version so we need to verify the technical requirements.
