Question

Hi! I would like to upgrade my plan (I am on trial now) but I get an error message. (81832). Can anybody help, please?

Upgrading your QuickBooks Online plan is quick and easy. At times, the collected cache files on your browser may lead to unexpected behavior like the one that you've experienced upon upgrading the program.

 

To get this issue sorted out, I recommend accessing your account on a private window. Here's how:

 

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Internet Explorer: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: press Command + Shift + N

If you're able to upgrade via the private window, you may go back to your regular browser and clear its cache. This removes the unnecessary file on your account and refreshes your data.

 

After that, you can follow the steps in this article to upgrade your plan: Upgrade your QuickBooks Online subscription.

    Thank you for getting back to us and for the update you provided, @jennifer65. 

     

    Before upgrading your current (trial) plan, I'd first recommend subscribing to QuickBooks Online (QBO). This way, you'll be able to remove and fix the error message you encountered. Let me guide you how.

    1. Log in to your QuickBooks Online (trial) company.
    2. Go to the Gear icon.
    3. Select Account and Settings.
    4. Go to the Billing & Subscription menu.
    5. Click the Subscribe button.
    6. Enter your payment details.
    7. Select Subscribe.

    I've attached screenshots below that shows the second to fifth steps.

     

    Once done, you're now ready to upgrade your QBO subscription and get to enjoy its new features. For the step-by-step guide, kindly check out this article: Upgrade your QuickBooks Online subscription.

     

    Also, with the Accounts and Settings menu, you can manage your company details, view your subscription, update your credit card, and make changes to your billing information. Kindly refer to this article for the complete information: How to update your subscription and billing details.

    @jennifer65 

    If you are in trial account, just open a new account to try.  If you have to open a new QBO account, make sure to click the Buy button to get the discounted price for up to certain months. If you purchase from the trial account, you have to pay the regular price.
