How can we transfer the subscription to our client?

Currently we are paying the subscription for our client and we'd like to transfer the payment of subscription to them.

Hello there, @fsb_accountserv. I got steps you can follow to transfer the subscription to your client.

 

First off, know that transferring the subscription means removing them from your firm-billed subscription. With this, their subscription will be billed at the full retail amount, as it will no longer be eligible for your discount. Also, eliminating your client won't affect their accounting data in any way.

 

When you're ready, please follow these steps:

 

  1. In your QuickBooks Online Accountant account, go to the Gear icon.
  2. Select  Subscriptions and billing.
  3. Click on the Your subscriptions or Accountant-billed subscriptions tab.
  4. Select the client. If your client is currently inactive, make them active first.
  5. From the Select action ▼ dropdown, click on Transfer billing to client.

 

Removed clients will only have read-only access to their QuickBooks firm. Though they have access to their accounting data but are unable to alter it. They'll get their full access once they update their billing info.
