Is there a way to change my phone number on account login? My laptop AI defaulted to a different phone number when I set up new QuickBooks account and it is wrong.

We've got you covered on updating your phone number when logging in to your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account.

We can change the phone number directly in the Intuit Account Manager. Let us guide you on how:

    1. Sign in to the Intuit Account Manager. Use your sign-in info for QuickBooks Online.
    2. Click the Sign in & security menu.
    3. Choose the Phone section.
    4. Make your changes.
    5. When you're done, press Save.

If you’ve already signed in to your account, we can follow the steps in the Change sign-in information in the QuickBooks Online section in this article: Update or change your Intuit Account sign-in information.

Once done, set the phone number as the default in QBO for text message verification. We can log into your Intuit account and confirm the accuracy of your phone number settings. Here's how:

    1. Log in to your Intuit account.
    2. Select Sign In & Security from the left menu.
    3. In the Two-step verification field, select Turn on.
    4. Ensure your phone number is correct, and select Text message to receive a standard six-digit verification text code.
    5. Click Turn on. Then, enter the code.
    6. Once done, click Continue.

For more detailed information, see this article: Secure your Intuit Account and prevent lockout with extra verification methods.
