Hello there, Sandra68. I can share some insights about the user types and access in QuickBooks Online.

When you give primary access to a user in QBO, the user has all access rights to every part of your account. However, if you designate a standard user role, QuickBooks enables you to determine the user's access permissions. You may grant them full access, limited access, or no access.

I'll guide you on how:

  1. Go to Settings and select Manage users.
  2. Click Add user.
  3. Select the Standard user radio button, then Next.
  4. In the How much access do you want this user to have? page, select the Limited radio button, then put a checkmark on the Customer box and click Next.
  5. Select the user settings, if applicable, then select Next.
  6. Enter the user's name and email address, then select Save.

With these instructions, you can limit the user's access by preventing them from accessing the banking page.

You can also send feedback to our product developers about limiting access for banking to an admin user in QBO. Your suggestions help us build features that benefit you and your business.
