Welcome to the Community forum, finance213. Let's troubleshoot to resolve the issue of your budgeting report not displaying the 2024 figures correctly.

Unusual behavior can sometimes stem from browser issues. Sign in to your QuickBooks account using an incognito or private window to verify. These modes don’t save cache, so it would help determine if the problem is related to the webpage.

Use the following keyboard shortcuts:

  • For Firefox, press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • For Chrome, press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • For Safari, hold down Command + Shift + N

Once there, access the budget and print to check if the correct year appears. If so, I recommend clearing your regular browser's cache and cookies. Otherwise, utilize other supported browsers as alternatives.

I would also encourage you to explore the customization options on your report to find the perfect way to display your data. Check out this article for details on tailoring them: Customise reports in QuickBooks Online.

I am having the same problem and this suggestion doesn't work. I think it is a bug in QuickBooks Online.

The original question didn't have much detail, but here are the steps I'm doing when I encounter this error:

1. I go to Budgets from the main menu. (Note that I'm not creating a report.)

2. I click on a budget of type "Profit and Loss"

3. On the edit Budget screen, I have these settings Reference Data: Actuals 2025 (YTD) and Yearly

    - So now I see 3 columns on the screen: Accounts, Actuals 2025 (YTD), Budget Totals

4. I click the Export/Print button and choose "Print/Save as PDF"

5. When I save the PDF, it no longer has the Actuals column.

Why did the middle column disappear?

Thank you

I understand that you are having a point with your budget report in QuickBooks Online (QBO). Specifically, the report is not printing correctly; it is missing the middle column and displays only the numbers for 2025, instead of the entire intended date range.

To ensure the budget report includes all necessary columns and accurate date ranges, let's first verify the date range:

  • Check that the date range includes all the years you want to see, not just 2025. Adjust the settings and review the report on-screen to ensure it shows all the data.

Moreover, Before printing in QuickBooks, check the Page Setup to ensure it includes all columns. In your browser's print settings, select "Print All Columns." Also, review the print preview to ensure no columns are cut off and adjust the margins if needed.

Next, customize the columns:

  1.     In the budget report view, look for an option to Customize or Edit the report settings.
  2.     In the customization menu, ensure that all necessary columns, including the missing middle column, are selected for display.
  3.     Apply your changes and review the report on-screen.

Lastly, If the issue continues, contacting our support would be beneficial as they have the necessary testing tools. Follow the steps below to reach them:

  1. Navigate to the Help menu.
  2. Click the Search option and type contact support.
  3. Choose the Contact Us tab at the bottom.
