QuickBooks online > QuickBooks Labs > Import Style turned on

QuickBooks Support please Help. I tried the chat feature and calling.

 

You are probably not surprised by this statement, your "custom form styles" in QBO is unappealing. They aren't professional looking and have elementary functionality.  Before we change to different accounting software, I figured I would throw up this Hail Mary"!

 

I have friends in the business who are able to import their own invoices, PO and other templates. They would go to QuickBooks Labs and turn on Import Style. This option isn't available for me.  After doing some research, it appears, that feature was turned off. However, it you had turned it on in the past, you were grandfathered in. This tells me, that somewhere in the big picture of QBO, there is a flag for this in your database. I am asking QuickBooks to turn this on for me.

Thank you for visiting the QuickBooks Community. This isn't the kind of expectation I want you to feel while using QuickBooks. Also, I understand the need to get relevant features available in the program. Let me discuss further details on how the said feature works. I'll ensure you can send feedback so your suggestion is forwarded to the Product Development Team. 

 

Please know that last July 1st last year, the Import Styles feature was disabled for newly created companies. Any company that has not already enabled Import Styles from QB Labs after 6/24/2021 will no longer be able to enable it. Then, you're right that any existing QBO companies with the feature are not currently affected and will continue to have access. However, there are plans to completely remove this feature from all QBO companies in the future.

 

For now, I recommend going to the Gear icon in QuickBooks Online and selecting Feedback. From there, you can submit a request to have the QuickBooks Labs again so you can turn on Import Style. Any recommendations are sent to our engineers for consideration in future updates. Please know that their goal is to be purposeful and thorough with the enhancements and product updates to make our program efficient to use.

 

On the other hand, you have the option to manually import multiple invoices to QuickBooks Online at once. Also, you can create your own template to personalize and add specific info to your sales form.
