The business QBO subscription is tied to my personal account. I'm leaving the business and want the QBO to be separated from my personal account. How do I do this?

    To transfer the role, ensure that you have added the user designated as the company admin. Additionally, you must be logged in as the primary admin before proceeding.

     

    Here's how to transfer the role:

     

    1. Log in to your QBO account as the primary admin.
    2. Click the gear icon in the upper-right corner to open the Settings.
    3. Go to Manage users and look for the user you want to replace as primary admin.
    4. Make sure they are listed as Admin under the Role column.
    5. Choose Change primary admin under Action.
    6. Select Change primary admin to confirm the action.
    7. Sign out of QuickBooks Online.

    The invited user will receive an email notification. Once they accept the role, their access will automatically be updated. Afterward, you can request that they remove or delete your user profile from the business account.
