Question

Why is my SBI connection not working anymore? It goes through the two-step authentication including OTP but then says this account is not existing.?

Hello @Girish Bhatnagar

The two-factor authentication with OTP can be one of your bank's security processes. If it prompts the account doesn't exist, it may be that SBI is having system maintenance or you're having a browser-related problem. In your case, I suggest contacting your bank or login into your bank's website to check notifications first to verify it from them.

If the bank connection is good, I recommend following these troubleshooting steps. You can start by running QBO in an incognito or private browser. This browsing mode won't save any histories and cache files. Feel free to use these shortcut keys:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Safari 11 or newer: ⌘ + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P

Once logged in, you can go to the Banking page and check if the SBI connection is working. If it operates just as you expected, you can switch to your regular browser and clear the cache so the system can start fresh. You can alternatively use other supported browsers to isolate these kinds of issues.
