One QBO account is for one company file. You can manage branches/divisions by utilizing the Class/Location feature available in QBO Plus. Otherwise you should open a new account.

Welcome to Community!  QuickBooks Online is a dynamic cloud based accounting software that you can access at any time from anywhere.  I'll be happy to provide more information, so you're on the right track with your work!

When you log into your account from your device the data is saved to your company file without the need to sync your device with QuickBooks Online.  It's recommended that you have a QuickBooks account for each company you have, to ensure your associated transactions and applicable taxes are for the specific business.  Each company that you have will be associated with your login credentials.  You can have multiple accounts with the same login and you'll see a list of your companies on the sign in page, so you can select the one you want to work on.  You'll also have the option to 'switch companies' when you're work is finished in one account, rather than having to login again.  You can log into any of your accounts from your device.

In addition, there are many product tutorials that you can watch and learn how to navigate through QuickBooks Online.  We also offer an account so you can Test drive QuickBooks Online without affecting your own books.
