Does QBO provide a test platform for testing Apps?

I want to test out the SaasAnt for importing csv data for volume sales receipts.
I'm thinking I would like a test version of our QBO books to do that with.
Does anyone know if they will do that for you or will I have to do a back up and do my tinkering and hope I don't mess up anything and have to roll back... 
Or will they only do it if you pay for another month or??
Any insights appreciated.

    Thanks for your reply.

    Would you recommend one Software over another?

    Have you used both Saasant and TP (Transaction Pro)?

    Transaction Pro is going to be expensive for us as the entry level only allows 200 records and we will be well over that, Saasant is unlimited records for $9.90/month. On pricing alone it is the better solution.

    The task at hand I think it quite straight forward (not complicated) so I think I will trial the Saasant solution to start..

    Thanks for the suggestion of using a trial on the backup/rewind software, that gives a bit of piece of mind when tinkering with live data.

    Hi JanicePickwell,

     

    Thanks for reaching out here.  Importing SaasAnt Transactions with QuickBooks Online is hassle-free and time saving.  You'll have the ability to import, export or delete transactions in QuickBooks.  I'd be happy to provide more insight here.

     

    Although you wouldn't be able to open a test version of your QuickBooks Online company, you can open a new trial company.  If you feel confident with the outcome when importing your transactions from SaasAnt, you can then export them from the trial company and import them into your current QuickBooks Online account.

      Hi Trish:

       

      I am not sure how much I can do to/with the company file as I am not the "owner", this is a client Company that I work on and I access via my QB login screen.

       

      Can you explain a little bit about how that works in the context of what I am hoping to do here.

      Perhaps your suggestion of opening a test company to trial Saasant on would be best.  

      Then given that I decide to go ahead, do I have to involve the "owner" of the company to get the Saasant App working on within my setup on the live Company data file?

      Hi Janice,

       

      Thanks for getting back to us here.  When you open a trial account for QuickBooks Online, I recommend signing up with credentials that aren't associated with your accounting firm to prevent any confusion when logging in.  This will provide a platform for you to navigate with the SaasAnt App to ensure it's the best fit for your client's business needs.  When your navigation is complete you can purge the company data from the account and cancel it, if you no longer wish to use the company you've created.

       

      In addition, it's recommended that you have the consent of the company owner for any additions to their QuickBooks products, to keep in good standing with your client and establish ongoing trust.
