I am connected to square and using the sync but I don't have the app transactions tap as seen in the tutorial video

Afaik, Sync with Square integration is no longer supported. QuickBooks Online has updated the app to the newer version which is the Connect to Square. If the same error persists, utilize a 3rd party connector to isolate the issue.
