Question

Now that the app version is not going to be updated, I would like to know what impacts it will have on our access from multiple locations?

Hi BGD,

I see that you've been using the QuickBooks Online desktop app. I know that not knowing what effects the change will have can raise questions. I can reassure you that your ability to use your service will not be impacted. You'll only need to log in differently.

If you have the app downloaded, you can continue to use it; however, it will not be updated. You can still access your QuickBooks Online account through your browser at QuickBooks Online Sign In anywhere you have internet service. There'll be no impact on accessing your account from different locations.

I hope this puts your mind at ease. Have a great day!

I'm completely disappointed with the fact that the app has been discontinued, working online is extremely frustrating.  Auto correct and Predictive text pose huge issues when entering data that were not present in the app.  I am truly frustrated that that it now costs more and we are getting less, but I guess that is the way of the world now.

Hi Norlog. I hear you on this. Your feedback is valuable and I recommend sending it to our product developers by clicking the Gear icon and looking for Feedback. I can see how time-consuming it can be to deal with information that's being automatically prefilled on your account. The good thing is QuickBooks Online allows you to turn off this feature and here's how:

  1. Navigate to Settings ⚙, then select Account and Settings.
  2. Click on Advanced.
  3. In the Automation section, select the pencil icon.
  4. Uncheck the box to disable the auto-recall feature.
  5. Hit Save at the bottom of the Automation box, then Done to record your changes.

Give this a try and let me know how you make out. I'll be one message away.

Nope, I already did that and it does not stop the issue.
