Previous bookkeeper is located in Canada, they are using Desktop version. I was only given a backup file. I contacted the help desk, they referred me to Transaction Pro. The 7 days trial of Transaction Pro and help desk bring me no where. I contacted QuickBooks help desk again, the officer informed me that Transaction Pro can only import and export Excel, asked if I can covert the backup file to Excel for import to online! I even downloaded desktop trail version, I can't restore the backup! Can anyone help to tell me what can I do now to get the desktop company file (with data) migrate to online asap?

Hi QB community, my company is reporting GST starting 2 Jul. I am looking for a GST report that will reflect all of the individual purchases and the corresponding individual GST for each day. Currently, the tax agency detail report reflects only total purchases and total GST for each day. We are using Desktop Premier 2013 edition. To illustrate my point, 3 screenshots attached.Screenshot 1 (tax agency detail report). For 2 Jul, total purchases is $1,342.27, corresponding GST 7% is $93.96.Screenshot 2 is from the purchases account. The yellow highlighted reflects the individual purchases adding up to total $1,342.27 2 Jul. But this report does not reflect the individual tax amount. Also, this purchases account includes both GST and non-GST purchases. So it is difficult to identify at a glance the GST related figures. We would like to connect QBO to my POS which is Hike. However, we have been using QBO for awhile. Is it easier if start a new account? So if we start a new account, can I still view my old QBO transaction? I would need your advice on this.

Hello. We are currently subscribed to Quickbooks Online Plus. We want to clarify if Limited Standard Users, whether it be Customer, Supplier, or both, have access to reports such as Balance Sheet, Profit and Loss, and Payroll? Otherwise, what Quickbooks software offers such features? We want the user restriction wherein the employees, especially the lower-level ones, do not have access to this information as it's highly classified. TIA.
Hi QB advisors, I am a very new for QB so I would like to get your advice for settings. I've seen many tutorials and saw everyone sets as 'BANK' at the Account Type for bank accounts in the 'Chart of Accounts'. But I cannot set up as 'Bank' for my three bank accounts. Why I don't have it on the list? Any different version so do I need to choose current asset or cash & cash equivalents? Can anybody teach me, will be highly appreciated it!! I have created a journal entry to recognize accrued revenue at year end, how can I get this journal entry to show up in the transaction list under the Customer account? I have selected the Customer in question under the Name column, but this journal entry does not appear in the transaction list. What can be done?

I am able to create a JournalEntry using PHP-APII am also able to upload an attachment using PHP-API. Hi I need the step on the following payment recording:We are General insurance agency, selling Insurer's product (different type of insurance) *Scenario 1 : We collect payment on behalf of Insurer: 1. issue Invoice under customer : in the invoice product/service should create under which account? the premium collect on behalf of Insurer is not revenue. but we need the premium reflect in the record so that we can keep track how much customer owe us. 2. issue Bill under Insurer : in the bill which Category to select? we need to keep track the premium that we owe insurer. *Scenario 2 : Customer paid direct to Insurer:1. what documents and Category I need to issue to make the premium reflect in the AR and AP record?
Hi, we are General Insurance Agency. we provided service to customer.sometime we do collect premium on behalf of insurer, when I issue Invoice to customer, the premium captured at Revenue. However the premium is not our Revenue. How should I do it?
My organization has a question regarding inventory management on Quickbooks. #1: When inventory is bought, due to market condition prices of inventory may change. However, recording inventory asset currently shown that it is recording inventory sales at its sales price, is it possible to instead record it under cost price of said goods? #2: In a situation whereby under one supplier there is multiple cost price (example: large quantity is bought hence price is reduced), how do we record them without adding in another inventory category? #3: When recording a product's SKU is it possible to set multiple price?
Hi guys , recently while using my iPad to access QuickBooks online I can’t seem to find my gst rate. but while using web base QuickBooks online I have no problem . Anyone encounter before or can give advice . I try to create a new gst rate but the system told me it’s already inside the system.

HiWe regularly send money from Singapore (SGD) to our account in Europe (Euro) using a third party currency exchange and transfer service. step 1 - we agree a rate (EUR/SGD 1.6) with Currency Fair in Singapore and transfer S$8,000 to their account in Singapore.step 2 - they credit our account in Ireland in Euro 5,000. step 1 is the debit an expense or transfer or something else (suspense account). Can you suggest the entries so we can do this consistently?
