I'm delighted to see you posting here and letting us know your employees clock in and out syncing issues, Mahmoud. I recognize its importance to manage time entries and track the number of worked hours. Let me help rectify this concern, so you can get back to business seamlessly.

Usually, issues like this are caused by an incorrect setup of your location on the app. Features like geofencing or nearby jobs need constant access to the exact location.

With this, if employees are unable to clock in or automatically being clocked out, make sure to have location services enabled on your mobile devices. Also, if the primary admin sets location to required, the location permissions for the app need to be set correctly, so workers can clock in or stay clocked in and show real-time recording in the admin panel.

Thus, you can refer to these steps to help you troubleshoot location services on your device.

For iOS

  1. Turn the device off and back on.
  2. Go to Settings, select Privacy & Security, then Location Services
    1. Make sure Location Services is turned on.
    2. Turn it off and back on again to refresh.
    3. Find and select Workforce in the list, and set Allow Location Access to Always.
    4. Turn on Precise Location.
  3. To reset all wireless radios, go to Settings.
    1. Turn on Airplane Mode, and then turn it off again.
  4. To turn off battery saver settings or apps, go to Settings, then Battery.
    1. Make sure Low Power Mode is turned off.
    2. If you have battery saver apps, make sure the permissions are set to not include the Workforce app

For Android

  1. Turn the device off and back on.
  2. Go to Settings and click Apps. Select QuickBooks Workforce then Permissions.
    1. Choose Location and click Allow all the time.
    2. Select Use precise location.
  3. Turn off any battery-saving settings for the Workforce app or other battery-saving apps you have.

However, if the issue persists, I recommend contacting our QuickBooks Time representatives to have your account reviewed and further investigate the root cause of this issue. To do this:

  1. On your Android or iOS device, if you haven't already, sign in to your QuickBooks Time account.
  2. Go to Settings or More, then tap Settings.
  3. Click on Help and select Contact Us.
  4. Choose one of the help options, then Contact QuickBooks Workforce support.

Additionally, I've added this guide to help you handle employees' timesheets and insert a break to your members: Manage timesheets in QuickBooks Workforce.

I'll keep this thread open, so I can get back to you anytime you need further assistance managing employees' time entries. Just keep me posted and I'll make sure to get you covered. Keep safe and have a good one!
