I've a new employee whose time will only partially sync to QBO from Time. Message to follow

Ted [Removed]: Oct 25: NOTICE: 3.00 hour timesheet had a Service Item (ID: 1034412, Name: Southern California Edison (SCE) Agriculture Energy Efficiency (AgEE) Program:SCE AgEE Task 3 - Enroll Customers and Deliver Program Services) that can't be exported to QuickBooks because it was created on QuickBooks Time rather than being created in QuickBooks and sync'd. The hours will still show up in QuickBooks, but they will not have a service item.

I'm here to help you resolve the syncing issue with your new employee's timesheet between QuickBooks Time and QuickBooks Online.

 

You'll need to delete and recreate the time entry to ensure the connection between QBTime refreshes. Here's how:

 

  1. Open your QuickBooks Online account.
  2. On the left menu, hover over Time and select Time Entries.
  3. Find the time entry and click Unapprove.
  4. Go to your QBTime account.
  5. Head to Time Entries on the left menu.
  6. Delete the time entry you recently unapproved from QBO.
  7. Recreate the time through QBTime by clicking Add Time.
  8. Enter the necessary information and select Save.

 

After that, you'll need to approve the time entry and export it to QBO. Here's how:

 

  1. On the left menu, go to Approvals.
  2. Select the time entry you recently created and click Approve.
  3. Click the QuickBooks Payroll button on the top menu and select Export Approved Time.

 

If the issue persists, I recommend contacting our QuickBooks Time support to have this case investigated. You can also share your screen with our support so they can assist you with visual references.

 

For future reference, you can consider setting up timesheet submissions and approvals in QuickBooks Time.
