Inviting Contractors to Quickbooks time

Hi folks,

I am unable to track time for contractors. I have added the contractors from add team member and also added the email id, Even they have filled the details and W9 is ready , but i am unable to see them on Time team. I can only see the employees list on invite team members. Please help me so i can track the time for contractors.

When QuickBooks Online is integrated with QuickBooks Time, it'll be automatically added to QuickBooks Time in the My Team section.

 

It could be that the contractor was mistakenly categorized as an employee, which is why you're seeing them listed as an employee rather than a contractor. With that being said, I recommend reviewing the setup for your contractors to ensure they haven't been mistakenly added as employees.

 

If everything is set up correctly but they don't show in your QuickBooks Time account, try logging in using a private browser to rule out any browser-related issues. This can help confirm whether the problem is caused by the browser.

 

  • Safari: Command + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: CTRL + Shift + P
  • Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge: CTRL + Shift + N

 

If it works without issues, go back to your main browsing history and clear the cache. You can also use other supported web engines.

Contractors are added and  set up properly , but i am unable to see them in time team, you can see contractors in screenshot , they aren't showing up at all. Also i used other browsers and also incognito mode but still its not working.

Thanks for getting back to us and performing the troubleshooting steps shared by my colleague, SuchitaD.

 

When you add new employees or contractors to QuickBooks Online, they’re automatically added to QuickBooks Time on My Team page. Let's log in to QuickBooks Time to verify if the contractors are there. Here's how:

 

  1. Go to the QuickBooks Time sign-in page.
  2. Enter your phone number, email, or user ID and select Sign in.
  3. Go to My Team.
  4. From there, check if the contractors are there.

 

If the names didn't show, I recommend contacting our phone or chat support team. They have tools to investigate the cause of this and provide additional solutions to fix the problem. I've included the steps to contact support below. 

 

  1. Go to the Help (?) icon at the top.
  2. On the Assistant tab, click Talk to a human.
  3. Enter "missing contractors in QuickBooks Time" in the Type something field, then click the Send icon.
  4. Click on I still need a human.
  5. Select Get help from a human.
  6. You can either select Chat with us or Have us call you.
