Hello!

 

I am having some issues with the QuickBooks workforce app. Some of my employees are able to view their pay on the app and others are not able to view it. Is it something that needs to be turned on in quickbooks?

We can try a few troubleshooting steps to make your employees able to view their pay on the app in QuickBooks Online. 

 

To ensure that your employees have access to their paystubs, kindly verify whether they have been invited to view the payroll once it is processed. This will enable them to conveniently access their paystubs.

 

If they haven't been invited, here's how to invite your employees to QuickBooks Workforce to see pay stubs, W-2s, and more in QuickBooks Online Payroll:

 

Set up and invite a new employee

 

Note: If your employee has access to your QuickBooks Online account, make sure they use a different email for Workforce than the one they use to sign in to QuickBooks Online.

 

  1. Go to Payroll and select Employees.
  2. Select Add an employee.
  3. Add your employee’s name and email address. They’ll automatically get an email with instructions to set up their Workforce account so they can see their pay stubs and W-2s, and select the Paperless W-2 option.
  4. If you want your new employee to add their personal info, select Ask this employee to enter their personal, tax, and banking info with QuickBooks Workforce checkbox.
  5. Select Done.

 

Invite existing employees

 

You can invite multiple employees at once, or an individual employee to view their pay stubs and W-2s.

 

  1. Go to Payroll and select Employees.
  2. Select Invite to Workforce.
  3. Check the boxes next to the names of the employees you want to invite and enter their email addresses.
  4. When finished, select Send invitations.

If your employee already has access, I would like to confirm if there is any specific error message that appears during the process. If yes, kindly provide us with additional information about it. This will help us investigate the issue further and provide a solution. In the meantime, you can try signing in to your QuickBooks Online account using a private browser or "incognito" mode. You can also try your browser's cache, which will remove the historical data and allow you to access QuickBooks with a clean slate. Additionally, you can switch to a different supported browser to enable your employee to function properly.
