Sync Quickbooks Time to Quickbooks Desktop not working

Using Enterprise 2021. Recently we are unable to sync with Quickbooks Time via the toolbar (Employees>Enter Time>Sync Quickbooks Time). When the sync time popup opens we get another popup that is a script error on this page. After clicking yes to continue running scripts, it allows to enter a username and password but then has an error "Cannot complete integration - Non-QBD flavor 'wc' is already installed".

We are able to sync using the App Management - Update Web Services - Quickbooks web connector, but this is not ideal. This process was shown to me by a Quickbooks Time rep. She mentioned that we had too many "Versions used on file" shown after hitting F2. I talked to Quickbooks rep and he said those cannot be removed. I am at a lost. Everything was working fine last week. To my knowledge there were no updates or changes.

Good morning, @dwit. It's good to see you here in the Community and thank you for all the information you provided in your post! I'm happy to help you sync with QuickBooks Desktop.

That error you're getting means the web connector add-on is still installed within QuickBooks Time. The first thing we'll want to do is uninstall the add-on. Here's how to do this:

  1. Log in to QuickBooks Time.
  2. Go to Feature Add-Ons on the left menu.
  3. Choose to Manage Add-Ons
  4. Uninstall the QuickBooks Desktop Integration

Next, you'll go to your QuickBooks Desktop account and try to run the sync. After the error, you'll need to use the option to "Activate QB Time" from your Desktop account to set it back up. Follow the steps below:

  1. In QuickBooks Desktop, go to the Employees menu up top.
  2. Click on Enter Time
  3. Select the Activate QB Time option.

Lastly, you'll enter in your QB Time login information, and then it'll sync. Please feel free to reply to this post if you have any questions or encounter any errors. I'm eager to get this working for you!

WARNING: INTUIT HAS BROKEN QUICKBOOKS TIME.

I noticed today that QB Time has not synced properly for the last month. After calling support, I learned that in the past month (my estimate) that Intuit made an update that, for me, made QB Time inoperable. First, going forward, I have to ADD "Billable" as a required field for each of my clients individually. There apparently is no way to change this setting for all clients at once. Second, since the supposed update, QBO and QB Time have not been communicating, so I have to set to billable all my time entries since this update. There is a definite possibility that I have lost billable hours because of this update.

Intuit has only limited time to fix this issue before I find another vendor.

Imagine that!  QuickBooks took over TSheets and now it doesn't work and if you get the "work around" web connector it still isn't as easy and straight forward as it was when it was TSheets.  QuickBooks is awful and you're lucky if you can ever get someone to help!
