Yes, there is, Ace. Let me help you pull up another report to show the necessary information you need related to your service item types in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Please know that the Inventory Valuation Summary and Detail reports in QBO display only active inventory items. Since you want insights into your service items, I recommend running and customising the Sales by Product/Service Detail report.

Here's how:

  1. Go to Reports and search for Sales by Product/Service Detail report.
  2. Click Customize.
  3. Set the Report period.
  4. In the Rows/Column section, click Change columns. Ensure to put a checkmark beside the DateTransaction TypeNo.CustomerQtySales PriceAmount, and Balance.
  5. In the Filter section, select the service items.
  6. Select Run report.

Moreover, here's an article if you need to send a report by email on a recurring schedule: Set schedule and email information for a memorised report.

Keep in touch if you need further assistance in running reports in QBO. The Community team is always available to help. Stay safe, and have a good one.

Hi @JaeAnnC ,

I would like to receive email notification on each month end. How can QBO select the duration period for the report is for each month end. Example: January report contains transaction from 01/01/2024 to 31/01/2024 and send out on 01/02/2024 and vice versa for following month.

Also, around what time in GMT+8 would I receive the email?

Thank you.

Ace

Hello, Ace. You'll need to manually set an email schedule based on your preference. Let's go over some details to help you achieve the task in QuickBooks Online.

Once you memorised your report, you can send it by email repeatedly. To set a quarterly schedule, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Reports.
  2. Select Custom reports.
  3. Find the report you'd like to schedule for email and in the Action column, select Edit ✎.
  4. Toggle Set email schedule to turn it on.
  5. Set the email recurrence based on your needs. Set the Next Date to the 1st day of the following month.

  6. Enter the Email information for sending the report.
  7. If you want to send the report as an Excel file, tick the Attach the report as an Excel file box. Otherwise, the report is sent in HTML format.

  8. Click Save or Save and close.

After completing these steps, the report will be sent to the email address you entered and according to the schedule you've set up, although no specific time is specified in GMT+8 for when it will be received.

Moreover, I'm adding this in case you want to learn how to create memorised Accounts Receivable (A/R) reports with scheduled email reminders for customer statements: How to create memorised A/R reports with email reminders.
