Can I make a payment to chart of accounts from my bank a/c . I want to record a payment to a cost code ?

Welcome to the Community - thank you for your question!

You would need to record this as a transfer - you can do this by selecting + and then Transfer. You would then select your bank account under 'Transfer funds from' and the COA under 'Transfer funds to'.
