Question

Can I pull of a report of entries that were dated 2020 but entered onto Quickbooks in 2021 / 2022? Our audit figures don't balance due to changes I made

Our reserves opening balance doesn't agree with our audited reserves closing balance for 2020. This must be due to entries I made after the accounts had been submitted. I need to find out what I entered during 2021 / 2022 with a date of 2020

Thanks for dropping by here in the Community, @lisa-jurgens. I'll share some information about your query.

In QuickBooks Online (QBO), you can pull up reports from the previous year using the Filter feature. Additionally, you can customise it to show specific details to appear in the report.

To filter a report, here's how:

  1. On the left navigational bar, go to Reports tab.
  2. In the search bar, type the name of the report.
  3. Click on the report that you want to apply filter.
  4. Choose the report period that you want and then Run report.

For more information about how to customise reports in QuickBooks, you can refer to this page.

If you've made changes to the account, you can see those by using the Audit log feature. Refer to this article to learn more about how to using audit log.
