You’re right, andrew. We can customise reports to show VAT amounts associated with your transactions in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

As long as you add a VAT Code or rates to your transactions, VAT amounts will be available on reports. However, there are no certain reports where you can only filter particular transactions with Inclusive VAT amounts. Rather, the report will populate all transactions with corresponding VAT codes.

In the meantime, you can pull out a VAT Detail Report to pull up transactions associated with VAT codes and export it to make alterations manually. You can export the report into an Excel file, go over the transactions set as Inclusive VAT, and take out the rest if needed.

Moreover, let me walk you through pulling up the report and exporting this from QBO:

  1. Go to the Reports menu and locate the VAT Detail Report.
  2. Tap the Customise button to add columns you want to be on the report. You can mark check the VAT CodeVAT Rate, and Amount.
  3. In the report window, click the Export icon, select Export to Excel, and save it.
  4. Once you have the file, you can start manually removing entries that aren't associated with Inclusive VAT.

I know that having this filter would be the easiest way to extract these transactions. While considering this option to be included in the application’s future enhancements, I recommend sending this suggestion to our product development team:

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Select Feedback.
  3. Enter a brief description of your product suggestion.
  4. Click Next to submit feedback.

Additionally, you may use a variety of financial reports to obtain a quick overview of the financial development of your company. I've also included a link so you can view the full set of instructions for personalizing it:

For future reference, you may have an increase or decrease in collecting VAT amounts. You can visit this resource to help you keep guided in editing VAT settings: Set up and edit VAT settings, codes and rates in QuickBooks Online.
