Can you run Budget vs. Actuals: Budget 2019 - FY19 P&L Classes Report period as last month so when it gets emailed I don't have to change the date range each time?

Well what I am saying is that there isn't a choice for this report to choose 'last month' So I have to go in an use date range and change the month each time.

But if there was a last month option and I customized it in October and ran the report it would show September. Then I would still have to go in an run the report each month to change the date? I want a way where it would just refresh and send the email without my intervention.

Hello Melissa-Bryan

If the report does not have an option to select last month then there is not a way at the moment to automate it so that when you select the date range and save the customisation would change it to the next months dates when it was ran in a future month. It would be a case of going to custom reports>clicking on the report>changing date range>then sending.

If you could add feedback in the cog in the top right of QuickBooks for our product developers and we can look at whether this feature can be added to the Budget vs actuals report.

Hi melissa-bryan

You could change the date range accordingly, select save customisation enter a name for the report. When you then run the report you have custommised/created it will default to the date range you have selected.

Thanks for your reply. I do this now and it does work fine. However, I use this report to send to my budget holders each month. I set it up as an automatic email so I don't have to email them all which works great.  But I do have to go into each customized report and change the date range each month. If the date range had 'last month' for example then I wouldn't have to go in each time. (I think) Trying to stream line things :)

I use class as department heads so I have set up a customized budget report for each budget holder. Hope this makes sense.

Thanks

Melissa

Hi melissa-bryan

Yes that makes sense, so just to clarify, you select last month in the report and customised it, lets say you did this in October so the report is showing as Septembers figures, then in November you run the report however instead of showing October it is showing Septembers figures?
