Cancellations recorded on the Profit and Loss Report

Hello

I work in the hospitality sector and am currently dealing with cancelled events.

Although the event due date is for this month, the monies have already been paid, and included in previous VAT returns.  However, my Profit and Loss for the month are not showing these events as cancelled, which my boss was expecting.

Is anyone able to shed some light on this, and give me an explanation that I show my boss so that he understands?

Thank you in advance!

Hi there, HHN.

You can create an expense refund transaction so you can reclaim the VAT return that was previously filed. Here's how:

  1. Click the + New icon and select Expense or Cheque
  2. Select the customer's name in the Payee field.
  3. Enter all other details of the refund including date, amount, category or item details, and transaction number.
  4. Click Save and close

You can also contact our Phone or Chat Support Team so they can help you adjust the previously filed Vat return. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Help menu and click Contact Us.
  2. Let them know that you need help with your previously submitted tax return, then click Let's talk.
  3. Choose between Message and agent or Get a callback.

Let me know if you need anything else.
