Question

Day Books in QBO

One of the gripes I have about QBO is that it does not have Day Books like Sales Day Book or Purchases Day Book and even a proper Cash Book.

The cash book in QBO must give details about each receipt and payment together with details of allocations (currently it only gives-"--split--"). It must also give details about payer/payee, mode of payment and clearance status (although only some of these can be achieved via report fields).

Hello there, @HAM9.

I appreciate that you spent the time to post in the Community forum and let us know what you thought. We value your suggestions about the product functionalities that best work for your business.

You're right in managing QuickBooks Cash Books, it only shows minimal details about a particular transaction. I acknowledge that having these options would make it easier for you and the other users to display the following information for better tracking. However, our developers are constantly working to make QuickBooks Online better for our users.

In this, I’d recommend sending this functionality as feedback. Our product development team, doing so will enable us to comprehend what features business owners demand to use the product conveniently. To send your input, here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Select Feedback.
  3. Enter a brief description of your product suggestion.
  4. Click Next to submit feedback.

Additionally, we frequently update our products while considering your comments. It allows you to monitor the development of your feature request in our Feedback forum.

Please let me know if you have other concerns about QuickBooks. The Community is always available to help.
