Does anyone know if you can turn off automatic numbering for journals?

Welcome to the Community page,
There is no way to be able to turn off the automatic numbering for journals all you can do is turn on the Warn if duplicate journal number is used in quickbooks. You can edit the number manually on the journal entry and change it to something else however.
