Question

Excited by the import budget feature! We're on QBO Plus; I can't see how to download a subdivided budget template as I'm not being offered a 'Budget format' option.

Obviously I can select 'Budget format' when creating a new budget, I'm talking specifically about the Import option. I'm only offered 1-2-3 (Time period; download template; upload budget) and the template doesn't offer and subdivision.

Hello there, Dave. We're also thrilled with the Import budget feature, which is extremely helpful for business budgeting. We'll provide details on how it works so you can plan your finances accordingly.

For the time being, the option to download a subdivided budget template isn't yet available with the QBO UK version. You can only have this format while creating a new budget. For the step-by-step guide on how to do this, please see this article: Create or import budgets in QuickBooks Online.

Additionally, you can set budget targets for each class in QBO Plus. If you wish to know more about this, you can check out this article: Create a budget by class.

You can always keep in touch if you have any other concerns with budgeting in QBO. Remember, we're here to get you covered.

Thank you. We do subdivide by class so being able to import separate budgets for different classes would be really helpful. Do you know if this is likely to be available in the near future?

Hello Dave-foot, thanks for coming back to us, it might come in, in the future but we don't know for sure or have any time frame on it either.
