Has the access changed for reports-only users?

For some reason the page that the reports-only user was presented with on logging on no longer had three tabs. These used to be - standard reports /customised reports /management reports.

Today, there was only the one page with standard reports available and no way it seemed to get to the others.

Has the system changed?

In QuickBooks Online (QBO), if your designated role is solely to manage and access reports, you are granted full access to the Standard, Customized, and Management reports sections. This access allows you to view data across these different report types based on your needs.

 

Please be assured that there have been no modifications to the system's functionalities concerning report access, maintaining a steady and reliable user experience.

 

Since you're unable to access the additional two tabs in the reports section, let’s perform some troubleshooting steps to pinpoint and remedy the issue, determining whether it might be linked to your browser. Often, an accumulation of excessive cache files in your browser can lead to unexpected behavior within the program.

 

Start by logging in to your QBO account using a private or incognito window. Depending on your browser, you can use the following keyboard shortcuts:

 

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

 

If this resolves the issue, return to your default browser and clear its cache to refresh the system. Alternatively, you may use other supported browsers.
