Hello, trying to enter o/bals from accountant. there is an entry needed to 'other debtors', quickbooks will only let me have one debtors account.....how do i do this?

You are in the right place. Let me guide you on how to create another Debtors account in QuickBooks Online (QBO), pennyrutherford6.

We can set up another Debtors account as long as we are using a different name on the second one. You'll encounter an error message "Another account is already using this name. Please use a different name." if you use the same name for the prior one. This prevents you from creating a new account for Debtors. Here's how to add a new one:

1. Go to Accounting on the left side menu.
2. Choose Chart of Accounts.
3. Tick the New tab.
4. Select Debtors in the Account Type and Detail Type fields.
5. Enter a different name or add something from the Debtors name in the Name field. 
6. Tap Save and Close.
