Hi. I am trying to export PAPDIS files that I can upload to my pension provider (smartpension.co.uk), but the Pension Summary report 'fails' when I try to upload it?

I can share some tips on how you can fix this, Hozzy.

 

When uploading pension reports, please remember not to open the file. If you open the report, the information might be corrupted causing submission errors. You may need to go back and download the report again if you've opened it by accident.

 

If you're still unable to upload the unopened report, you can perform some basic troubleshooting steps to isolate the issue. At times, the cache and cookies in your browser accumulate causing unusual behaviors and runtime errors.

 

You may start by accessing your pension provider's website through a private window.  This mode doesn't save your web searches and site data.  Feel free to use these keyboard shortcuts to launch the window:

 

  • Ctrl + Shift + N for Google Chrome
  • Ctrl + Shift + P for Microsoft Edge
  • Ctrl + Shift + P for Mozilla Firefox
  • Command + Shift + N for Safari

If it's now showing your name, you'll have to go back to your regular browser, then clear the cache to eliminate the junk files. You can also switch to other supported browsers as an alternative.
