Good day, @anne_king.

Let's click the Submit Return within the Taxes tab so you can change the dates of the report to your desired period.

Moving forward, simply update the VAT year to match the start of your financial year to ensure QuickBooks calculates your VAT quarters correctly. Just go to Edit VAT and hit Edit VAT Settings from within the Taxes tab. Then, select the appropriate month from the drop-down menu under the Start of Current VAT Period.

This will then calculate your VAT Filing Quarters in line with your Financial Quarters for you.

I'm adding here a link that you can visit for more information about editing the VAT settings in QBO: Set up and edit VAT settings, VAT codes, and VAT rates.

Let me know if there's anything else you need. I'll be around to help. Have a good one!
