Question

Hi. On the trial balance, at the end of the month, there is an amount of Uncategorised Income. How do I solve it? Should I adjust with a Journal, as it's all sales income

Every amount of this uncategorised income looks to already been reconciled to its invoice. Should I make an adjustment with a Journal to Sales, to clear it out?
Thanks in advance.

Hello there, Feprimafi. Let me to share some information about your uncategorised income in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

The Uncategorised Income account is created by QuickBooks automatically when QBO can’t figure out how to categorize the transaction. So, if you see Uncategorized Income you can correct it by selecting the appropriate category or account from your chart of accounts.

  1. Go to the Gear icon, and select Chart of Accounts.
  2. On the Filter by name search box, type Uncategorized Income.
  3. Choose the transactions that you'll want to run.
  4. From the Action column, click the drop-down arrow.
  5. Tap Edit.
  6. From the Account window, you can now change it to the correct account.
  7. Click Save and Close.

After changing the account, ensure to reconcile your accounts to keep your books accurate and up to date.

Let me know if you need further assistance with your uncategorised income. I'll be here to lend a hand. Have a great day!
