Hi,

Can anyone tell me how I can find out the date an invoice was marked as paid in Quickbooks Self Employed?

Can't see it anywhere. Hoping I'm just not looking hard enough and it is actually possible to find out.

Thanks!

Hey there, @dan145. We're thrilled to have you as part of the Community forum and happy to help with any questions you have. It's our pleasure to provide the information you need.

In QuickBooks Self-Employed, you can find the date an invoice was marked as paid by following these steps:

  1. Log in to your QuickBooks Self-Employed account.
  2. Navigate to the Invoices tab.
  3. Look for the specific invoice in question.
  4. Click on the invoice to open it and view its details.
  5. If the invoice has been marked as paid, you should see the payment date or status indicated within the invoice details.

For visual reference, refer to the screenshot that I've attached below.

You can manually add transactions into QuickBooks using a web browser or mobile device. For more information about the process depending on how you access Self-Employed, here's the link: Manually add transactions in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

I've added some resources for more details on handling your transactions:

Thanks for your reply @LollyNino_C , but my version of Quickbooks Self Employed does not look like that.

When I click to view an invoice this is what I see...

The date the invoice was marked as paid is not displayed anywhere.

Hi there, @dan145.

Allow me to help you where to verify the payment.

Here's how:

  1. Go to Sales and select Invoices (located at the top). Navigate to the invoice you need. The Status column shows the status of the invoice.
  2. Select the Status arrow to track the invoice.

You may refer to this article as your guidance: Get paid by your customer.

Additionally, there are ways your customers can pay you through QuickBooks through our partners Paypal or GoCardless: Record invoice payments in QuickBooks Online.

I'd be glad to help if you need further assistance with transactions. Have a great day!
