How can I run a statement to show a customer's balance as at a certain date? Every statement I have tried shows the current balance, not as at the required date

Can we just confirm are you referring the the balance forward statement(in the plus symbol and then statement) in the QuickBooks Online? It should allow you to put a start and end date for the balance
