How do I change the first day of the week to Monday, last day Sunday, so if I select "this week" or "last week" in custom reports, it returns with the correct timeframe?

Hello  Cndh, Thanks for your comments on the reporting and how it picks the weekdays. Quickbooks was originally a US product so the bones of the reporting comes from that version we suspect. We can pass on your feedback to the product development team about the week option customisation reporting structure.

You're unable to change the default first day of the week, Paultraynor1985.

You can customise the report, change the starting day, then save it as a workaround. This way, you can easily open it without returning to the correct time frame.

Here's how:

  1. Open the report.
  2. Make some changes.
  3. Click Save customisation.
  4. Fill in the necessary fields.
  5. Click Save

This report will be found under Custom reports. For more details, you can check this article

Shoot a comment below if you have other concerns. We'd be happy to help you.

Hi @paultraynor1985

This is not a fix but may be an explanation - my guess is that this is a carryover from QB Desktop.

Although I rarely use This Week or Last Week reports, I do use the keyboard shortcuts:

w for start of week - i.e. Sunday

k for end of week - i.e. Saturday

   + for next day

   - for previous day

So, Monday is W+ or K++ depending on direction.

It's so ingrained that I don't give it a thought but, you're right, it goes against common (business) practice.
