How do I change the opening balance for employment allowance

If you've run payroll, the option to edit the opening balance for employment allowance is unavailable. You may need to revert or delete any posted pay runs. To do so, check below links:

• Deleting a pay run in QuickBooks Online Standard Payroll
• Delete a Pay Run in QuickBooks Online Advanced Payroll

Once deleted, you can now edit the opening balance.

However, if you don't wish to delete pay runs, contact our Customer Care Team. They have the tools to change the figures for you. 

Here's how:

1. Click the Help option in the upper-right corner.
2. Select the Contact Us option.
3. Fill in the necessary information.
4. Hit Let's talk.
