Thanks for taking the time to post here in the Community, @jeff149. I'm happy to share some details on how to manage your list of Chart of Accounts to your new QuickBooks Online.

If you've already had a QBO company, you can transfer the list of your Chart of Accounts by exporting the report using an Excel file. Then, import it in your new company. I'm happy to show you the steps below:

  1. Go to the Accounting menu and select Chart of Accounts.
  2. Check the box beside the Name column and select the Run report button.
  3. Click the Customise button and choose the Account, Type, and Detail type.
  4. Select Run report.
  5. Click the Export icon and select Export to Excel.

Once done, you can log in to your new QBO company, and import the file. This is what the process looks like:

However, if you have the list of COA from another accounting platform, make sure to follow the template below:

Moreover, to know more details on managing your data, you can read through this article: Export your reports to Excel from QuickBooks Online. This also contains a sub-article about modifying your report.

I'll be around to help if you ran into a different situation while transferring your list in QuickBooks. Don't hesitate to drop a reply below. Enjoy your weekend!
