I can guide you in generating your customers' statements, @communityoil.

There are three kinds of statements that you can generate and provide to your customers.

  • Balance Forward. This document shows all activity dated between Start and End dates. Will show a Balance Forward amount at the top
  • Open Item. You select a date, and the statement shows all transactions that were completed before it.
  • Transaction Statement. There’s no total balance here, only the amount of transactions and the amount received for each transaction.

You can set up your statements to suit your business needs.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear Icon.
  2. Choose Accounts and Settings.
  3. Select the Sales tab.
  4. Scroll down to the Statement section.
  5. Choose how would you like the transaction to be listed.
    • List each transaction as a single line
    • List each transaction including all detail lines
  6. If you want to Show ageing table at the bottom of the statement, click on the box.
  7. Click Save.

You can refer to this article for more detailed instructions: Create and manage statements.

Lastly, to ensure the accuracy of your statement, make sure your transactions are up to date before you generate any statements, and choose your date ranges carefully.
