Hello, @DaveP57. I can assist you in resetting your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account to remove any traces of your testing activity.

The process for resetting your QBO company and commencing afresh without any remnants of your testing activity depends on the duration of your QuickBooks usage and your subscription type.

If you are using Simple Start or if your QBO account has been active for more than 90 days, irrespective of the subscription, you will need to cancel your current subscription and create a new account. It is important to note that it may take approximately a year for all data to be fully deleted after the cancellation. Here are the steps to follow:

  1. Sign in to your QBO account through your web browser.
  2. Go to the Cog icon and select Subscriptions and billing.
  3. In the QuickBooks section, select Cancel subscription or Cancel online. If you're cancelling a trial, select Cancel trial.
  4. Follow the on-screen steps.

If you are using Essentials, Plus, or Advanced, and your QBO account was created within the last 90 days, you can purge your company by following these steps:

  1. Sign in to your QBO company.
  2. Once you're signed in, open this link. Alternatively, you can change the URL to include /purgecompany
    a. Example: Change https://app.qbo.intuit.com/app/homepage to https://app.qbo.intuit.com/app/purgecompany
  3. The next screen will provide a summary of the items to delete. Type YES to delete the data, then select OK.
  4. Follow the on-screen steps and select Wipe Data.
