How do you set up a new code structure for a new financial year?

The chart of accounts in QuickBooks is entirely customizable to your business needs - once you've turned on account numbers, you can edit these following the steps below:

1. Go to Bookkeeping and select Chart of accounts.
2. Select ✎ Batch edit above the Action column.
3. Add or edit the account numbers in the Number column.
4. Once you’re done, select Save.
