I need to complete monthly Cost value reconciliation. What is the best report to download the details of cost incurred by project and revenues invoiced

You'll want to run the Profit and Loss Detail report and have it customised to show specific data you need for your reconciliation. It'll be my pleasure to walk you through the process. To begin, here's how:

 

  1. Access your QuickBooks Online company.
  2. On the left navigational bar, go to the Reports tab.
  3. In the search bar, enter Profit and Loss Detail.
  4. Select the appropriate period in the Report period section.
  5. Once done, click the Run report button.

Hello that report doesnt split the costs by Project or include a Project column.  Can you double check please

Hi bcbjork, the project-specific reports can be found on the project under 'Project Reports' - this includes project profitability covering the total costs and income for the project. You can also run the Profit and Loss by Customer Report (you can run any customer-related reports to track your project’s profitability) and filter this to include only projects by clicking customise > filter > tick the customer box > tick all projects that you want to include on the drop-down > run report.
