Question

I used to have 'Reports' bookmarked on my left hand side menu - now I can see Reports only under 'Menu' but cannot bookmark it any longer - does anyone know why this is?

Thank you for posting in the QuickBooks Community forum. I understand your Reports menu is no longer in your Bookmarks section and is now under the Menu tab like before. Allow me to impart insight that could help you thoroughly.

 

After the recent updates, this option is unavailable to most of the subscriptions. Adding the Reports menu to BOOKMARKS is possible through QBO Advance subscriptions.

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Under the Profile column, select Feedback.
  3. Share your suggestion, then click Next.

As a workaround, you can edit your Menu section and drag Reports to the top for easier access.

  1. Click the 📝 Pencil icon beside Menu.
  2. Locate Reports, then click and drag it to the top.
  3. Select Save.

I've started seeing the same thing but my magically disappearing bookmark is the VAT one. Doesn't appear in the bookmarks list anymore. Probably another bug Intuit have introduced which won't get fixed.

Before troubleshooting, let's check if the VAT option is available on your end.

 

  1. On the left navigation panel, click the Pencil icon beside BOOKMARKS.
  2. Type in VAT in the search field.
  3. If there is, please tick the box beside it. Then, close the program and open it again to see if the VAT will stay in the bookmarks section. In case it doesn't stay, we'll need to do some browser troubleshooting.
  4. If there's no VAT option, let's also proceed with the troubleshooting.

 

To troubleshoot, start by opening an incognito or private browser window. You can use the following keyboard shortcuts depending on what browser you're using:

 

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

 

Once you have opened the browser window, log in to your QuickBooks account and see if the VAT option will be available. If it is, proceed to clear your browser's cache. This process will remove and fix specific issues and help the program run optimally. Additionally, you can use other devices and supported browsers to ensure everything works as expected.

The reply bot is missing the point. VAT and Reports is missing from the bookmarks section. Useless feed back, again.
