Question

Is there a report I can run that shows whether an attachment has been uploaded to the transaction?

Thanks for visiting the Community, @hello15. Yes, there is and I'm here to show you how you can view which of your transactions have attachments.

For customers transactions, here's how:

  1. Go to the Sales menu, then select the All Sales tab.
  2. Click the Settings icon.
  3. Check the box for Attachments

A column with a clip icon will be added and will indicate the numbers of attachments added in the specific transaction. You can also do the same with your expenses.

Here's how for the suppliers' transactions:

  1. Go to the Expenses menu, then select the Expenses tab.
  2. Click the Settings icon.
  3. Put a checkmark on the Attachments box.

For future reference, read through this article: Attachments in QuickBooks Online. It helps you learn about the acceptable file types and how to attach them to your transactions.

Feel free to message again should you have more concerns about anything else. We're always delighted to assist.

An update on my earlier question.  After further testing, Primary Admin can see the attachment counts, but I (Admin access) can't.
